Bri True

Marriage & Family Therapist Candidate

The Motivation

Life can be difficult and having support along the way can help take away some of the heaviness of it all. And while you may be used to carrying it all by yourself, you do not have to. If you feel like “I’ve made it through everything else, why should I ask for help now?”, we may be a good fit. It truthfully took me 9 years to reach out to a therapist after a major loss and while it was difficult, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. So if it feels uncomfortable, or you are unsure of reaching out for help, I hope this helps you feel like you’re not alone and you’re never too early or too late to ask for help. If now is the time, I would love to walk alongside you at the pace you need or want, and help you find the light on the other side of hard things and see that things can get better.

The Details

When you come to see me, I hope you feel my genuine compassion and empathy for what you bring into the session. My hope is that my office feels like a safe environment for you to heal and grow while being your authentic self.

A Bit About Bri

I was born and raised here on the Western Slope for the last 34 years. I currently live with my husband and our 3 dogs. If I am not in the office you will find me outside enjoying the sunshine by doing some sort of outdoor activity like riding horses, side by siding, hiking, or paddle boarding. I also enjoy a good book and love being social with friends.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Colorado Mesa University and a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

Bri is supervised by Chantel Landeros, LMFT.

My Specialties

Kids

I enjoy working with children and teens. My hope is to be able to provide a safe and supportive space for them to explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. Using a combination of evidence-based approaches and creative interventions, I help young individuals navigate learning how to understand and express emotions, navigate social challenges, begin to discover their identity, and how to handle difficult home life changes like divorce.  My goal is to empower them with the tools they need to thrive.

Couples

I enjoy working with couples to help them build stronger, more connected relationships by fostering open communication, trust, and emotional intimacy. Using evidence-based approaches, I help guide partners through challenges such as conflict resolution, rebuilding trust, miscommunication, and navigating life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive space where couples can deepen their understanding of each other, heal past wounds, and develop the tools needed for a healthy, lasting partnership.

Recovery from Injury

I support individuals navigating the emotional and psychological challenges of recovering from injury and adjusting to life afterward. Through a compassionate, strength-based approach, I help clients process grief, rebuild confidence, and develop coping strategies for physical, emotional, and lifestyle changes. My goal is to empower individuals to find meaning, resilience, and a renewed sense of self as they move forward in their healing journey.
